Sweetwater Texas

I stopped in sweetwater to score some thing akin to lunch.

Looks like the main industry is wind generated electricity. Who knew?

And how do you like the windmills?

I don't think I'd care for them at all.

But I know I'll get an honest answer from you, even though said that :)

Well they are out in the boonies pretty much. Looked like there were a couple hundred of 'em at least. Would I want to live next door to a wind farm? I don't think so. I am sure they are noisy.

But still cleaner energy than coal. If you gotta have electricity, I'd prefer to get it as cleanly as possible. But come to think of it, I get about 20% of my electricity from that field.

While I was about my travels on the back roads I saw plenty of buildings, both residential and commercial, that had either a solar array or a windmill or two. Some with both. Got to admire that gumption to get off the power grid, as it were.
