Yankee Clipper

(no subject)

The 5 Questions from my good friend sahlah because after all - I am the center of the (my) Universe!

1. Why do you love to travel?

Because it adds to my life experience. The more I can add to that, the richer I feel my life has been! That and my dad was military so we moved every 2-3 years. And we saw some pretty interesting stuff! It never wore off. It ain't about the stuff or how much money you have...

2. If you could take only one train ride (fantasy or reality)- where would it be and what would the train be?

The Orient Express - First class on the Old Orient Express. Not that new crap they have going now. Need I say more?

3. Describe the most beautiful photograph you've ever taken.

Hmmmm hard one. I have a few candidates, but I believe I'm looking at it right now. It was taken in 1998 on a WindJammer Cruise. On board the Yankee Clipper, somewhere between Grenada and St. Vincent. Looking to the west at sunset. Two friends from England. A married couple we had met on the cruise, Frank and Wendy and felt an instant bond with. Frank is standing in some part of the rigging with Wendy standing before him. They are looking at one another. Frank looking down, Wendy looking up. They are framed by rigging and bathed by the gold of the Caribbean sunset. Completely shadowed, they are silhouettes. Too bad I don't have a scan of that one! Such fond memories of that trip! Everyone should try one of these cruises. It ain't no foo-foo cruise!

4. You like the Elizabethan world, what would 'your' life been like if you lived then?

I probably would not have been born to a privileged life. I suspect it would have been hard, harsh, and most probably short, given my temper when I was younger!

5. The best advise you were ever given...

I've been given a lot, but probably: "You need to learn to let that shit go!"

And now it is your chance!

 To talk about yourself...

1. Leave me a comment saying, "It really is all about me." (or something less obnoxious)
2. I'll then respond by asking you up to five questions. You will answer them, because you like talking about yourself.
3. You can update your LJ with the answers to the questions so people can READ about you.
4. If you are feeling generous and want to share the spotlight, you can include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you can ask them questions!

Any takers?
