All I Got... But It's Early Yet

Looked at internal job postings yesterday until my eyes crossed and my head hurt. That is to say ALL DAY.

Got a few things so far that I want to take a closer look at, but nothing that really reaches out to me.

Be back at it today.

And then tomorrow I will probably be putting in Applications for said “Opportunities”

This is a seriously revolting development in my life. At least my professional life. Kinda scary too.

Got “Angels and Demons” from Netflix on Monday. Interesting. Good. But certainly not great. Nice treatment of Dan’ Brown’s Tome though.

Watched “Caligula” last night from my Instant viewing queue via the 360. I saw that movie the first time shortly after it came out. Bizarre then. So hacked up to make it suitable for renting that it is nearly incomprehensible now. Not nearly as steamy in it’s present version as the original was.

Also been hitting some episodes (5 out of 6 at last count) of the BBC documentary, “Walking With Dinosaurs”. Not too bad, either. As the shows are 29 minutes they make good filler.

Too much television. *sigh*

Sick of winter weather too. Didn’t see any snow yesterday, just rain. But friends did, out on the west side and up to the north. Okay by me. Not a real fan of the white stuff.

The folks I was talking about way back when in this post? Haven’t heard from them since New Years. Left a couple of voice mails. Not a return phone call. Sent an email off yesterday that basically said:

OK. Not sure what is going on here. Left a couple VM’s. You have not returned a call.

Did y’all decide I wasn’t worth the trouble or what? Perfectly understandable if you did, but you might have the courtesy to let a fella know.

Ball is in your court. Call, Email or Text. Or not. Your choice.

Be well,

What do you bet there will be no response whatsoever?

Back after it.

I’ve had it with the job listings for today.

My eyes are crossed. And my Tees are dotted.

A few interesting things though.

Couple jobs in NOLA. One in Spokane. YES SPOKANE!

The two in NOLA are out of IT all together. Although my skill set would come in handy, it would hardly be the main focus of the job.

The one in Washington (!) is an IT job. But it looks to be high stress. HAHAHA! Can’t be much higher than the one I have now thanks to the Asian Overlord..

Have to try to talk to the posting managers to see if they’ll consider someone from out of state. I suspect they do not want to pay to relocate someone. Cannot blame them. Times are hard.

Late Night Random...

Picked up some prescriptions late tonight (24 hour pharmacies gotta love ‘em) Most of them (two outta three) are generics (Cheap). The other however, was not. And costs 5 times what the generics cost. Asked the pharmacist what he actual cost was. He said $100.00. No wait $150.00. I said, “you are kidding”

“No sir.”

It’s no secret I like to do Sudoku. I don’t care about the timing or anything like that. And the Chronicle publishes one every day. In varying levels of difficulty. Beginning of the week is usually one star (easy) and by Friday there are five stars (highest level of difficulty) On Sunday there are two puzzles. Usually one is ~ * and the other is ~ *****. Last Sunday I solved the easy one in about 10 minutes. STILL working on the other. Haven’t put a SINGLE NUMBER in. hehehehehe. I’m stumped. And I hate to be wrong...

The Saturn Express

The front passenger side door on my car has decided that it doesn’t need to be locked. Been a few times when I knew I locked the door, only to find it unlocked later. Like the next morning. (?!?) This perplexed me. One day last week I was cleaning out the car. Finishing the front seat I locked the passenger side door and finished up with the back seat and trunk. Looked into the front seat and damn if the door wasn’t unlocked. All in under 15 minutes. So I sat in the drivers seat locked the damned door. I watched in amazement as the lever slowly moved to the unlocked position. WTF?! Something clearly has sprung or come unsprung. I wedged a folded piece of paper in there so it holds the lock shut. Jeepers!

I got into a hurry the other day and left the drivers side window down in the parking garage. ALL NIGHT. I came out the next morning and realized what a stupid move that was. Nothing was missing. But I suppose why would some one look inside a 12 year old Saturn with the window down. *grins*

Lucky I am, sometimes.
