It is time…

To move on. Sketchy wifi and not to mention no phone service for most of yesterday. AT&T has some major problems in this area. What if someone needed to reach me? What if I needed to reach someone?

I did the high road to Taos byway yesterday. Gorgeous! Took some good photos. Couldn't get the tripod setup right in the car. I'm thinking I could probably use a smaller one. Which I have in storage in Katy. I saw it the last time I was out there.

Raining here and it looks like it is going to continue. Another reason to move on.

While its been interesting being 'off the grid' as it were, I'd prefer it was voluntary. My choice. It's time to go anyway.

A Quicky Update

Left Santa Fe today. Drove up to Taos and around the Enchanted Circle Byway. Considered staying there but it was raining the whole drive, so I decided to make for Chama, NM. Pulled into a lodge at around 600pm. Right after I checked in the sky opened up. It was raining when I got here, but not like that. It did stop before sunset, so I could get my gear unloaded. It's pretty nice up here. Quite cool. I may hang here for a day or two.

There's a narrow gauge railway I may see if I can get a ticket for. As I said to someone earlier, can't really say when I'll be here again, so this may be the only chance I get for some time. It's the Cumbres and Toltec. Expensive, but a definite piece of history. Besides I love trains. Bet I could get some great photos on that little side trip.

Still no phone service with AT&T.  I'm told they are working on it. I am also told that AT&T's service sucks in this part of the country.

And here is a new sensation, I was sitting outside have a drink or two with my motel neighbors and realized that my feet were cold. Been a year or so...

Whoa! What a life I lead.
