One of the batteries for my mac has been dying a slow painful death over the last few months. I have (or had) two. Just in case.
The one that died was the one that was in it all the time. These thing apparently have a number of cycles built in. Initially it would last nearly 4 hours. Now even fully charged it lasts about 30 minutes. Or less. And within about an hour and a half, I think *think* it forced two lockups and re-boots. Never seen anything like it. Till now. I guess every time you hook it up to external power it cycled.
So I’ve pulled the protective case off put my spare in (it was on a low charge) had it stashed for too long. I should have been switching them out every once in a while. And it was that dang case. Kind of a pain in the ass to get off.
Still a waste of money. Damn.
My battery must have been wearing a red shirt.
“He’s dead, Jim!”
