Had Dinner With a Friend

The other night. As is our custom, we split the check. Now Kevin does not have an ATM card. WTF?

This is a stack of one dollar bills.

34 of them.

Boy paid me for his half in ONE DOLLAR bills

Is he a stripper? Who else carries around that many singles?

Uh... Someone who pays strippers?

Actually he gambles a bit, so I imagine that's it.

clearly Tom is the stripper and this was what he shook out of his banana hammock after his turn on stage.

That is the Emerald Observatory App for iPad. Pretty cool stuff:

http://emeraldsequoia.com/eo/

From the webpage: Emerald Observatory is an iPad™ application which displays a variety of astronomical information. It is similar in that way to our flagship product, Emerald Chronometer®, but designed specifically for the iPad. Much of the supporting technology, including NTP (atomic time) and the highly accurate astronomical algorithms, was derived from Emerald Chronometer.

Heh. You should have headed on out to a strip joint. (And where DOES Kevin work, exactly? :) )

I would hate to have an ATM card because every time I used it I would have to pay a fee, plus I would not know how much exactly was in it.

I keep track. Just like writing a check.

The only time we get charged a fee is when we withdraw cash from an ATM other than the home bank.

Works just like a credit card or cash for purchases though. Beats hell out of carrying cash or a checkbook around

I hardly ever write a cheque! Those have fees...twice! No, three times, come to think of it, once when you pay for the cheque book, once when you actually use a cheque, and at the end of the month when the financial institution adds their fees!

Yes, it's true that there's only fees when you use an ATM that isn't with your bank (not that I'm with a bank - I haz other financial institution - true it's dependent on a bank, though).

I'd hate to have to keep track on paper or computer - I'd be hopeless!

Here, we have bank charges being looked at, and one bank threatened with having to pay its customers back!

I was thinking stripper or bartender. Gambler didn't cross my mind, but it makes sense.
