Think I figured it out

With a little help from the developer. I wanted to use the same data files for my journaling SW, MacJournal. At this point, I suppose I suppose I could have just used the same data file on one of my macs. But the ‘Master’ file, resided on the drive on my MacBook Pro. It syncs well with, iPad and my iPhone. The mini on the other hand seemed to hang up and the SW would error out and tell me to replace the file on one or the other machines.

The MBP is getting a little long in the tooth, it’s a model from 2007 and sometimes doesn't seem quite so stable. I have tweaked that bad girl about as far as I can.

At any rate, I reached out to the developer and he replied back quickly. Still sort of testing this but all appears to be running smoothly.

Depending on how this goes I might move all my media to a shared drive type situation as well. We’ll see. The jury is still out.

I was giving “Postbox” for email a go, but decided that it just doesn’t really do what I want it to do. Seems good and solid. Most of my email is gmail and postbox seems to have a problem syncing up between the two machines. It move your gmail to a desktop client. The whole idea behind gmsil (for me any who) is that I don't have Any of that on my machine, Hellooooo Webmail.

And so I’ve moved back to MailPlane. Which is a browser in disguise, built around gmail. Works for me.

Had some one drop me from their friends list the other day. It didn’t bother me much. Girl was posting about as much as I am these days. And she just adopted a baby girl. And got REALLY busy. So I’m cool with that.

We didn't really seem to connect much any way. So no fear on that one.

Got things to do today. Wonder how much I’ll get done today. Borderlands 2 still is a HUGE time sucking game. *grins* If I don’t pick up the controller, I don’t have a problem. HA! Yeah right.

Gonna make a trip to IKEA next week during the week. You cannot pay me enough to hit that store on a weekend. I’d like a longer hutch/shelf for my desk. At some point I’d like to add a larger display to my set up, Or maybe even just a secondary display.

This turned into a novel. Was just supposed to be a quick post.

When I was working the only time we could go to Ikea was on weekends. It was like driving in Istanbul during High Holy Week. And forget about going when they have special "free lunch if you buy $100 worth of stuff" - I mean, who DOESN'T buy $100 worth in there? But it's not worth the brain damage to go there on weekends if you don't have to.

Exactly! Not a chance in hell I'd go on a weekend, Unless I absolutely had to. Even then I'd go waaaaaaay early or waaaaaaay late.

I have an old computer too. A dual core with *gasp* a 320G HD. Old. But works great. Won't replace it until I have to. :)

Enjoy your trip to IKEA and hope you find what you're looking for! :)

You're being quite techy which is good, because you are being YOU.

And being all domestic, too. Which I am not. *sigh* Good luck with IKEA!

I'm not all that domestic. Home is kind of a mess right now. But I'm working on it.

I wish we had an Ikea closer than an hour away - they have a lot of products I'd use more as an organizer, but it's hard to judge something from a catalog, and it's in Canada, so shipping is more of an issue than normal.

Because I have a flexible schedule, I try to avoid just about ANYPLACE that people flock to on the weekends. It almost doubles the time spent when you have to navigate through the throngs. (That's "throngs" not, you know..."
