Happy Saturday

Been working on my little A/V project for the bedroom since yesterday. Managed to move my (Big) mule chest (It is similar to this one, except even more massive) down the wall in the bedroom. Thank the guys who invented carpet sliders! And finally managed to wrestle the small chest ( again thanks for the sliders) that belonged either to my Mom or Gram (probably BOTH!) out of the niche it was in in my closet and into the bedroom proper. Stacking A/V equipment on it. Hopefully once I’ve got it all wired up it will all work together.

Been a beautiful if somewhat warmish day here. Had the doors and windows open since yesterday morning. Fans running everywhere! I’ve got some allergies, but still think, for the most part that outside air is generally better than manufactured cool air, except when it is a thousand degrees outside. Considering the low relative humidity 82F doesn’t really feel like 82F.

I love this time of the year here. If I was still working Renaissance Festival, I’d pretty much be in my element. But, Alas and Alack! It is not to be so.

My mail order picture and poster frames arrived today. They look pretty nicely done too. Going to finish my bedroom project before I get started on those. But color me impressed!

In all honesty, the system I’m putting into the bedroom is (probably) overkill, but it’s what I had, except for the speakers (Klipsch) I got several months ago from woot.com for what I considered a good price. They’re smaller and will fit in better for what I have in mind in there.

Keep calm and carry on!

Your furniture sounds great, from the description of it! I hope you enjoy your bedroom A/V system and that it's worth the work! :)

The furniture's no great shakes really. But it is very good quality. Wish I'd got the smaller chest when the ex and I split up though. No big deal.

Still means a lot to me. The only really nice piece of furniture we have is an antique gait-leg table. That and my jewelry armoire. Everything else is kinda battered, LOL. :D

I love good furniture that lasts an age, but they are very heavy to move! I admire your ingenuity in moving it by yourself.

And a good music system is a good music system!
