Go Pro?

The other day I walked down the long hallway as you have to do when you leave la casita, *yeah, I live smack dab in the middle of my building and it’s a long walk to either point of ingress or egress* some where behind me I hear the unmistakeable click~clack of a skateboarder (WTF?) coming up behind me!? There’s a first time for everything, I guess.

Honestly, it is fairly rare to see anyone as I come and go. Kid has long hair, it ain’t as nice OR as long as mine used to be *Take THAT youth of ‘Merica!* Wearing skinny jeans and a flannel shirt. And of course Vanns.

It amused me to notice as he went by (without so much as a by your leave, by the way) that he had a GoPro! camera mounted on the front of his board. Have to wonder what epic feats he had recorded. The only thing I saw him doing was riding the ramp in the parking garage all the way down to the ground floor. From the top floor. Exciting stuff!

Skateboarders and kids playing with balls etc used to scare the heck out of me when they dashed out into the road in front of a car (thankfully not even MY car). I was glad when the police clamped down and actually enforced the law of no riding skateboards on the footpath. The footpath is for pedestrians, that is why it is called a FOOT path. Elderly people cannot move fast to get out of the way if they make a mistake. These were the bad side of youth (which is thankfully in the minority where I live). They need to learn a few lessons in thoughtfulness, caring about other people, thinking before they act etc. Consequences for their actions is the only thing they listen to, being badly brought up and a few rogue genes probably, too boot. I'm glad I don't see them much any more. I dunno, shouldn't there be a No Scateboarding Inside rule in your building? Surely he can carry his scateboard to the lift. I guess it's up to the people who own your place and make up the rules, although you can always approach them and perhaps they will make up more rules! Other than that, I wish the young man well and hope he has lots of fun. And any footage from the camera sure should be good!
