That's Just FAB!

So I may have talked about </span>fab.com before. They are a design reseller shop. Over the last couple years I’ve bought quite a wide variety of things from them. From art works of various bents, to kitchen stuff, to bath sheets, to candles, bicycle gear and silly toys.

One of my last orders was for several items, but the one I was really looking forward to was a hand blown 6L round jar made from recycled glass. It also was supposed to come with a cork stopper. It looked and sounded like a real piece of work.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, what I got was a square Ball™ Mason Jar that holds about 1-1/2 cups. WTF?! It’s a fucking mason jar. Certainly not what I thought I was going to get. And most certainly not worth what I paid for it!

I let it sit here on my desk and fester in my mind. And this morning, I popped an email off to customer service:

Dear Fab Ones!

Item number xxxxx-xxxx. I did not receive what was represented by the photo and description for this item. What I got was a square Ball brand Mason jar that holds about 1-1/2 cups.

It is certainly NOT a 6L round jar. And certainly not worth $XX.xx

Bad form FAB! And after all we've meant to each other!

Within minutes I had a note (automated) back from them saying a $5.00USD credit had been added to my account.

And within 5 minutes of that I got a note from Crackerjack Alison. (I’m guessing crackerjack is the job title they use for customer service rep) At any rate Alison apologized for the mishap, gave me full credit to my credit card as they didn’t have stock for the original jar ordered. And I can keep the mason jar too!

First rate service. I did (of course) write her a note, thanking her for the quick action. She’s my hero of the day!

Alison.
Two Words.

Thank you!
Maybe a few more.
You are my hero! Good form!
