Been Trying to Figure Out

What it is in my kitchen that has this annoying inorganic smell. It’s the tires on my bike. I parked the thing in the kitchen yesterday after my ride. That ‘new not rubber’ smell. Now I figured it out it doesn’t bother me…

Took a ride on it today just to the bank and back. I figured I’d go through the drive thru ATM. Got about 2/3 of the way there and my handlebars were suddenly loose! WTF!? I wasn’t going to turn around because of that. The neck was tight enough, but the screws holding the bar had backed out some.

I must admit, it was a bit of a challenge trying to keep everything on the straight and narrow. I’ll get that sorted tomorrow. Also bought a rear rack (and net) for it and some kind of contraption to hold my phone or iPod. Not liking having a bag hung on the handlebars, hence the rack. And right now the only thing in the bag is my U lock and a length of cable to facilitate easier lockups. Likely put some tools in there as well.

The battery seems to be breaking in fine. I think (of course) I’ll know more the more familiar I become with the bike and after the ‘Break in period’. Battery seems to have lasted longer after that second charge. Could be my imagination too. Time will tell.

Put some fresh batteries in my little camera too. That may have to go in the bag as well.

Happy weekend, y’all!
