Awoke late(er than usual) this morning and was freakin’ ravenous.
You know, I’ve broken just about all of my toes at some point. Some hurt worse than others. My big toes were the toughest to deal with when they were broken. Use those for balance and staying upright.
I think I’ve put the last 10 Bucks in the old Saturn gas tank this morning. They offered me $500 for trade in at Momentum MINI. I just laughed. Hellz yeah. I took it. They can have the ol’ girl. Because. Well sHiNy! When I bought that car it cost 10 bucks to fill the tank. Now? A 10 spot gets me a quarter of a tank.
My Saturn has been a pretty good car. Cheap to own. Until the AC compressors started to fail every year. 1,000 bucks a pop for that. I just toughed it out last year without. The few times I’d been out during the day this last week have been just miserable hot and humid. And it is only June! I don’t really mind getting sweaty. But I prefer not to do it while I am just sitting on my ass!
And the parking brake went SPUNG!! and spit both the operating button AND the spring behind it into the windshield with a very loud CRACK! That happened a while back. The damned brake still works but you have to hold the lever up like some kinda crazy drifter.
Clutch lasted far beyond what it should have in my book. It’s getting a bit loose now. 15 years and about 160K miles. And three to five different drivers. So yeah.
I don’t think the Saturn Express had 10 Miles on it when I took delivery. *sniff* *laughs*
Yeah. Old girl is tired.
I used to joke about driving it until the wheels fell off. Well I ain’t laughing now. I just hope they stay on the damned car until mid-week! I’m joking of course. Mostly…
I’ll get all my personal crapola out of it in the next day or so.
I’m starting to think ROAD TRIP TIME!
The only thing that held me back over the last 6 months was the condition of my car.
Oh! And I gained 2 pounds this week. I’m pretty sure I know what did that and why. The car thing was really starting to stress me a bit. So I didn’t pay attention to what was going in… And it was enough.
