Kind of a WTF Day…

One Thing Leads to Another

The weather, while gray all day has been great. Had the doors open till about 4-5 this afternoon. Had fans fore and aft. Finally gave up the AC ghost when it was several degrees warmer inside the apartment than outside of it.

Was gonna go out to have an early dinner, and then I just kind of folded in on myself and said, ‘naaaaaaaaah’. Not sure what that’s about. Kind of in a weird head space right now. Cannot really articulate why either.

S’okay. I’ve eaten couple of meals, and hydrated myself properly today. Which was what really needed to happen any way.

I Was Shocked! Shocked I Say!

I stopped last night to fill up the tank in TheRedOne. Stopped at a S-h-e-l-l. Filled up with V-Power. Holy smokes! I was sticker shocked. Was over 50 bucks! Same size tank as the Saturn Express too. But it ran on Regular…

Where the hell did the bump in fuel prices come from? Egypt? They don’t even have oil. No. But they have the Suez Canal.

What in the Hell and Who Are These Old Guys?

I tried to watch Leno and Letterman tonight. Maybe I caught Jay on a bad night. I couldn’t get past the monologue. He just seemed old and arrogant. Bitter. Letterman was marginally better. But man, I dunno. I turned the set off after a few minutes. Kimmel is a rerun. Reckon he is on his honeymoon. *heh* Not watching much late night TV these days anyway.

Just past Midnight here. This old boy is gonna totter off to bed soon. Had enough fun for one day. Ahm tard…

How much is gas per gallon when you are? I remember driving through Texas years ago I thought Texas had some of the cheapest gas prices around.

It has really jumped the last couple of weeks. Shell is probably the most expensive gas there is right now. I believe it was 4.959/gallon at that place.

And yeah in Houston we do have some of the least expensive gas prices.

OMG! Not even premium is that bad here. Wow.

Well it was frickin' Shell and they are real proud of their shit. I stopped buying shell gas long before they laid me off. Years ago. Lesson learned. It is the good stuff though.

It's always a relief to get some cooler temperatures in summer.

Maybe you didn't need the third meal and it will help you to lose weight? They say we just store the last meal as fat because we are not active at night.

I was wondering, too, whether you car might go further on V-Power. We can get Premuim Unleaded here, which is more expensive, but does go further. And is supposed to be kind to your engine, too. Still, I can feel the shock at filling up your tank.

Haha, you're getting bad staying-up-late habits like me :)

Hon, I've had those habits. Remember when I was fighting becoming nocturnal?

!200 1230 is my normal bedtime.

Car gets good mileage far as I can tell. About 30 MPG. Not quite as good as my Saturn when it was in its prime. But they are two very different cars. And a decade apart in age. And MINI recommends you use the higher grade gasoline. Now if you're like me and like to put your foot in it... Could be better. Could be worse. *laughs*

Oh yeah, I do remember that! I got my bad habits from Gyro. This is what I tell myself, anyway :)

That does sound like good mileage. And I guess you will have to not put your foot down so much! Gyro taught me that before he passed over, but now my kids complain that I am too slow!

Carson was Carson. Leno and Letterman don't have Carson's charisma. Never did, never will. Old and tired looking. Carson never looked that way.
