Pagosa Springs, CO

The train ride was EFFIN' GREAT! Got a lot of pictures to parse.

I've moved into Colorado now. Certainly cannot complain about the view.

It was the cumbres and toltec rr.

Took a run in the parlour car from Anotonito back to Chama. Nice. You cross the Colorado -New Mexico border 11 times on the line.

It is very twisty. Scenery is quite (literally for me - *grins*) breathtaking.

Pricey, but freakin' gorgeous.

Oh yeah... The wifi in this motel in Pagosa springs is the best I've seen on this trip. If I stay put long enough to get some stuff uploaded there will be some peectures all right.

I'm sure I took way too many and quite a few will need to be culled. I was so fried last night when I finally stopped, I haven't even looked at them.

Have to see if I can find a nice sunny spot and go through the lot.

I've always been a fan of the train. It's the idea that we have to rush everywhere that really isn't so. A nice train ride over a period of a day or some days is more sensible and a lot less stress.

if you go to Durango CO, they have a day trip train ride that I never did get to go on. Its in beautiful country too. You should also check out Mesa Verde and some of the other places around Cortez. There is a little hotel there that has decent wifi and is centrally located. Nice folks run it, too.

I may go to Durango. Haven't really decided. Any way the wind blows. *grins*

Cortez and Mesa verde sound intriguing though.
