What? Who? Me…

Finished 'The Dark Monk' by Oliver Pötzsch today. I enjoyed it. But it seems I had already read it. The ending seemed familiar.

Found the next book, ’The Poisoned Pilgrim’ in the Amazon Prime Lending Library or whatever it is they call it. Started it. Having a bit of difficulty with the beginning. Read a couple reviews that were not very positive. Might be influencing me.

I tried to watch the 2d Ep of ‘The Walking Dead’ this evening. Got through about 3 minutes of it, and said no thanks. Rolled the channel round to ‘American Pickers’ on the History Channel. I just can’t get engaged with the new season this time. At least not right now. Guess my head isn’t in the right place. Or maybe it is the *’Zombie Thing’* has run it’s course for me. Been on 'Pickers' ever since.

The weather is making a change for the cooler. Supposed to hit the 50’s at some point tonight. Whoop! Can’t say I’m not excited to see the Fall actually show up in SE Texas. It’s been better the last couple of weeks (in the 70’s and 80’s), but it is really gonna show it’ s face here. Had the AC on last night. Was 81 in La Casita last night when I finally caved in and closed the windows and doors. So the cool or cold, will be a welcome respite from the heat.

Installed OSX Mavericks on my old MacBookPro a couple of days after the initial roll out. Seems stable enough. Haven’t put it on my Mini yet. I had a keyboard utility I used for various things. It was a preference pane. It seems to have disappeared in the update. But I still was able to restore most of the functionality. Progress! No extra utility required. I had had it so long I guess I took it for granted because I can’t remember what it was. I think it was Command-Something-Or-Other. Nope! It was Double Command. Still on my system, it just didn’t re-install when I installed Mavericks. Apparently, I don’t need it.

My head isn't in a real good space right now. Things will improve, I'm sure. Might also be affecting my attention span. Ala 'The Walking Dead'
