Well Poop!

My recruiter guy from RE Half Technology just sent me a really nice juicy local temp job. A consultant position. The money would likely be frickin' great.

Offices in Houston and Austin.

It is unfortunate, but I feel I’m missing some of the central requirements, and would NOT feel comfortable trying to BS my way through.

Can’t be makin’ my man look bad.

Go on the interview and don't BS. There is a chance that those items may be more negotiable than they seem and if nothing else, it is interview practice.

This! As long as you're honest and open, I don't see the harm.

you never know and might be pleasantly surprised.

See other two replies. I've worked on both ends of this.

Got to get through the screen. Not going to happen I think. They know what they want. I don't meet all of the requirements. They don't want to spend a month of a six month assignment bringing a consultant up to speed.

I've worked with and as a consultant within The Big Clam, if they sent me someone like me after I'd made the requirements known, I would have sent him back and I'd be shopping for another FIRM.

Got to get through the screen. Oil don't fool around with no SAP stuff. State the requirements, get the requirements.

I meet a lot but, some of the basic stuff I have no experience. They want someone to hit the ground running. It was quite the list.

Man, that would be great if you could earn that type of money.

But yeah, I guess they'd work out the BS factor after a short while.

I think the recruiter guy is being cruel in a way. Maybe this is the closest match he has found so far.

Good luck, T!

Nah he ain't being cruel. He honestly wanted to know if I could do the stuff listed. He didn't know. I did.

It's fine. I'm glad he is still looking.

Keep a log of how many "Deal Breaker" holes in your skil sets there are. Boot Camp them ,.
Seriously- I am looking at either DB Admin or going back into Heavy Coding. Never forget- find a niche and exploit it:>
