I did finish the 8th book in the After War series, “Carved in Stone” last week. Nine is not out yet, the title is “Shattered Dreams”
I also raced through “Excelsior” by George Sirois, over the past weekend.
From the B&N Web site - “Created by high school senior Matthew Peters, Excelsior - savior of faraway planet Denab IV - is becoming an Internet sensation as the main character of a popular online comic strip. But before Matthew can enjoy his burgeoning success, a beautiful older woman arrives at his school and tells him that not only is she from the planet Denab IV, but that Excelsior's life-force lives within him. Now, with Excelsior's old enemies regaining strength, Matthew realizes he is the key to Earth's survival and Denab IV's salvation, and he has an opportunity that he never thought possible, to become his greatest creation”
It was a fun read. Quick.
And I am now back to Angela White’s “Bone Dust and Beginnings” A continuation of sorts that take place some years after the events of the After War series. The main protagonist is Alexa, who is apparently one of Adrian Mitchel’s children. She is a powerful Descendent, determined to find her father’s Safe Haven. In this book she mainly puts together her group of seven hard men.
About to finish that one up too.
I’ve gotta go get that machine calibrated today, provided I am not locked out. So coffee first and a shower.
