Sick As A Dog!

Many thanks to my daughter Emily, she came over yesterday and helped me pack 5 boxes of crap, including two file boxes of books. Books are the hardest to let go of yet.
Hopefully some of the cruft will be re-homed at a friend's garage sale. Also a bunch of candles and holders, some toys and "other".
Unfortunately after my wonderful kiddo left, I started shivering almost uncontrollably, not sure where this came from, but I feel terrible. I was not running a fever, but it sure felt like it. Achy, shaky, my eyes feel like they are on fire.
Made myself take some Day Quil, washed down with two glasses of cold water. Didn't help. Next was a mug of hot tea.
Not sure if it was my foray out two nights ago or the night before.
Sooooooooo... At this point, I am waiting for chemistry to wear off. And I do have the odd ache and pain yet. So probably another night of NyQuil. And Motrin. Didn't sleep well last night or today. I think because of all the fluids I was pushing. Woke up every hour or so to do some business IYKWIM.

DayQuil and NyQuil didn't really touch this at all other than to make it a bit easier to go to sleep.

Spent most of the day today horizontal (I really was feeling terrible.) Emily came over with fresh chemistry and a battery for my thermometer. And chicken noodle soup. And Gatorade. She hung around long enough to make sure I ate and drank and bailed when I headed back to bed.

I think the fever has broken. I did come awake at one point really damp. *Ewwe. Thermometer says I am normal.

I really do feel much better than I did even 12 hrs ago. Be another (relatively) early night for me. Still feel like my head is being squeezed between two cinder blocks, motrin seems to take the edge of that off better than tylenol. Still doesn't kill it completely. Probably due to the fact all my upper body muscles are a bit tight from all that damned shivering I was doing.

Anyroad, tomorrow is another day!
