TexasT's (texasts) wrote,

Just finished Heinlein's 'Double Star' written long, long ago. First published in Astounding in 1956. I know I've read that book before and probably owned it in some form or another, but okay. It's a bit dated, but still holds up fairly well. 3/5

Just started Cormac McCarthy's 'No Place for Old Men'. The man has a strange pen style, if you ask me (and I know that you didn't *grins*), that makes his stuff a bit hard to read. I can deal though.

Up and coming Kindle Editions on tap:
* 'Ruffian Dick: A Novel of Sir Richard Francis Burton' by Joseph Kennedy and John Enright
* 'Prince Lestat and the realms of Atlantis: The Vampire Chronicles' by Anne Rice
* 'A People's History of the United States' by Howard Zinn

Still trying to slog through Mark Twain's travel books. They are somewhat of a hard read. I circle back to them once in a while.

Then there's the KindleUnlimited stuff I've got going on:
* ' Landfall: The Ship Series // Book One' by Jerry Aubin (author)
* ' Date Night on Union Station (EarthCent Ambassador Book 1)' by E. M. Foner (author)
* 'The Belial Series, Books 1-3' by R. D. Brady
* 'Broken Tomorrow: A Dystopian Boxset Collection' by by Jill Cooper (author), B.R. Paulson (author), Susan Kaye Quinn (author), G.P. Ching (author), Steven Savile (author), Drew Avera (author), Ren Warom (author)
* ' The Fellowship of the Ring: Being the First Part of The Lord of the Rings' by J.R.R. Tolkien (author)
* 'The Hobbit (Lord of the Rings' by J.R.R. Tolkien (author)
* ' The Oath Breaker: A Novel of Germania and Rome (Hraban Chronicles Book 1)' by Alaric Longward (author)

Should be enough to keep me busy for a bit! *Laughs* Reading-wise anyway...
